As I've said before, I love Pinterest! It's great for gathering and storing ideas and inspiration. I gather so many different photos from Modesty ideas to backgrounds for my phone. I am a Pinterest kind of girl and the other day as I was scrolling through Pinterest when I saw this photo... This made me stop and think for a minute. It made me think because, to be honest, I was waiting for my prince. And I'm sure I'm not alone in that. But God created us beautifully and fully capable of living and thriving without a man in our lives. Sure it would be lovely to have a partner in crime but God has a plan for you and I in the mean time. Now you may be thinking this sounds a little like 'Feminism' but it is definitely not! My lovely older sister, Jordy , is a fantastic roll model to me and also a wonderful writer. She has taught me a lot over the years and I can always rely on her in times of need. She is 17 years old and almost finished high-school. She is in the process of writing and editing her first books! She also has a blog of her own and today's post is written by her. I was talking with my cousin the other day over a hot cup of coffee. We were discussing marriage, what makes a marriage work and how to be a good wife. What characteristics are found in a good, strong, God honouring marriage? Kids, teens have dream jobs. They look forward to be a teacher, scientist, cook or dancer. They dream and plan. They prepare themselves and practise. My sister wants to be an author. She is already practising and doing research. She is finding out what makes a good author and a good book. But I dream of the day I will be a wife and mother. I get funny looks when people ask me what I want to be and I answer a wife and mother. So I usually just say a teacher or nanny. And I really do want to be a teacher or nanny. But above all, my end goal, my final destination, my biggest dream is to be a good wife and mother. I believe that God made men and women equal but with different roles and purposes. And I think that our world has strayed so far from this perfect design God had for men and women in the garden of Eden. I was thinking about this today as I did my laundry. I have another most addressing this issue in more depth titled Men Vs. Women . I am also very passionate about this subject so I wanted to tell you what I believe it does and doesn't mean (to me) when I chose to submit to men. When I submit to men it does not mean I'm weak. As young Christian woman living in a sinful world there are expectations of how we are to act around males. They vary from age, gender, culture and religious beliefs. There is no rule book that tells us how we are to act around men and often we will be told different things be different people. There are only little things in the Bible such as that we are to respect and submit to men. We are to serve them and be their helpers. We have already discussed this in a past post ( Men Vs. Women ). At first you may not see it all, but let me show you just as my big sister did this morning.  We will be mostly looking at the first two verses, but first, go read the chapter, then come back and we'll have a look at it together. I was reading a short article/ post by a young women named Sarah S. Wilson on her community named Modest Fashion on Google+ and I loved it. I didn't want to just rewrite since it was her experience and her words. So here's what she had to say. "So in church this morning my pastor was preaching on modesty after he read the passage when Peter was "naked" and put on a coat before he jumped into the water to meet Jesus. Today's definition of "naked" and the Bible's definition of "naked" are completely different, so let me explain. When the Bible speaks of a person being "naked", it means that a man or woman is showing their shoulders, chest (complete torso), and thighs/knees. I put it up today at about 1:00 my time after editing it for quite a while. I don't have the proper software and the quality isn't the best...Plus there is a giant watermark across it. Sorry about that! But I tried really hard and quite frankly, I think it turned our pretty well for my first video ever! I am proud of it and very happy to share it with you all. So, What is the video even about? It is practically me vocalizing what it means to be modest and where modesty comes from. There are many women in our lives that tell us all kinds of things. Some are good and some not so good. Today I will be sharing with you the women that inspired me to begin this mission to a biblical modesty and some of the things they have said or done that continue to help me on my journey. Hello, Since I have started intentionally dressing modestly I have found that I really enjoy the way I am dressing now. I love it! Why? Let me explain... Firstly, I have NO regrets anymore. I looked at a photo of myself from about two years ago. I was playing baseball. I was wearing a singlet/ tank top and shorts. I regret that choice now. And at that time I made many bad choices with my clothes. And at the time I knew  that there was a risk that I would get caught rolling up my shorts a few extra times or pulling my shirt down a little further. But I have no regrets with the way I dress now. I no longer have to be so careful of my movements. I don't have to watch myself when I lean over or bend down because I know that what I am wearing covers me appropriately and there is little risk that my chest, too much of my legs or my stomach show. Now, wearing skirts I do have to be weary when I ride my bike or run to make sure that it does not ride up mu legs to go up with the win

Hello, I have already talked about what our roles are as women vs. men. And as a part of that role we are to respect and submit to men wether they are your husband, boyfriend, father, brother, pastor or friend. Here are three simple ways you can do so; Firstly, listen to him! "What does this entail?" you may ask. You can start by giving him your full attention and eye contact. Refrain from interrupting him and try to understand and digest what he is saying and respond respectfully. Do things for him! This is a simple one. As I said in a previous post, our role as a woman is to serve and support your husband (Or other men). So, we can do this by doing things for him such as keeping your house/room tidy, cooking for him, do grocery shopping or help out around the house if your still young like me. Hello, Today I am going to try to convince you to not do strapless dresses. I know, I know! You look good in them, they suit you. But please just hear me out before you say anything. So I was in grade 8 (Or secondary 2) and I had this good friend, who shall remain nameless. She is Cuban, so you can imagine that she is quite a curvy girl. One day she arrived at school in a strapless dress and holding another (We went to a public school!). She wanted me to wear it for the day. After a bit of convincing I agreed. Hello, Are men and women equal? Or are women under men because he man first? God created men and women equal! This is very important. He also created us with different roles. This is also very important. God created women for men, for us to submit to them. This does not mean the women are less than men or that we have no value. God calls men to respect and love women, especially their wives. There were many laws put in place in the old testament to ensure that women were taken care of by men. God created us all equal. We each have different a job and purpose in life that is unique to our gender. One cannot go without the other as our roles complement each other. This is the way God designed it to be. God created women to be wives and mothers, to cook and clean and without that can you imagine what this world would be like? Now I am not saying that men are not allowed to cook or clean. In fact a husband that helps out around the house is always respected in my book. God created m
